The rust is a disease that affects mainly coffee mature leaves of crops and, in severe degrees, causes a sharp drop in these, resulting in production losses. Globally there were losses of some 600 million just in 2013; Mexico and recorded a loss of 60 billion, according to the Agricultural Information Service and Pesquera (READY). SIAP sources estimate losses higher 8 thousand dollars per acre of planted coffee rust because.
